Here are some 20 images about research starting from 1990 until to today. Art work, dealing with life, death, space-particles/universe/s (also the form of the universe/s).
Afterlife and sequenced life (life/time forward and backwards)
These 2 Diptychs (consisting of total 4 parts + 2 extra images of back side text) are art work made together with the Swedish poet and author Rikard Larsson-Eng
About Work:
In early 90s Henry Grahn Hermunen evaluated how to explain complex connected structures in the most primary minimalistic way, relating only two symbols, the circle and square, representing maternal/paternal. Added to this: movement, spin in any direction, and they become/are equivalent – but at the same time opposite, representing (+) and (-). This binary system might be extended with another dimension to become a sphere and a cube, also in movement. A metaphor for a possible extensive mindset and language with no limits.
Grahn Hermunen recognized the mathematician, philosopher and scientist Gottfried von Leibniz who worked with the same invention and noticed these factors in the Islamic geometric models as well. These fundamental binary components also being used in computers, 0 and 1.
2023 Grahn Hermunen is joined by Swedish poet and author Rikard Larsson-Eng. Coming from a different background Larsson brought new layers to the forms of circles and squares: text, words, and syllables. Drawing on inspiration from as far back as Duns Scotus and Occam, Larsson brings to the lyrical perspectives – the “Perspective Lyrique” – a sense of binary mistrust regarding what you see and perceive, and what you not see or perceive. This forms a kind of appeal that urges you to not know what you know, to not expect what you expect, and thus connect to that which was previously not connectable.
